This is an honest breakdown of how the grey market works, why the maths never favours it, and what an authorized channel gives you that a parallel importer cannot.</span></p><div style="font-size:17px;text-align:left;"><h2 style="font-size:28px;">How grey-market modules reach India</h2><p>The components flooding marketplaces and wholesale hubs at &quot;too good&quot; prices usually travel one of three routes:</p><table><tbody><tr style="vertical-align:top;"><td><div style="font-size:11px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">ROUTE 1</div>
<div style="font-size:18px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:8px;">Under-invoiced imports</div>
<div style="font-size:14px;">Consignments declared at a fraction of real value to evade customs duty and IGST. The &quot;discount&quot; you are offered is largely evaded tax - and that liability does not vanish, it moves down the chain.</div></td><td><div style="font-size:11px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">ROUTE 2</div>
<div style="font-size:18px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:8px;">B-grade and refurbished</div>
<div style="font-size:14px;">Factory-reject lots, panels stripped from dismantled screens with re-glued lamps, and end-of-line batches that failed brightness or calibration QC - all sold as &quot;new&quot;.</div></td><td><div style="font-size:11px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">ROUTE 3</div>
<div style="font-size:18px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:8px;">Lookalike branding</div>
<div style="font-size:14px;">Modules carrying the name of a reputed factory that never left that factory's line - copy PCBs with cheaper driver ICs and unbranded lamps, sold on a name the buyer trusts.</div></td></tr></tbody></table><div><p style="font-size:16px;">In our experience a large share of the cheap &quot;Qiangli&quot; modules offered to Indian buyers through unofficial channels are <strong>not genuine Qiangli production at all</strong>. None of this is visible in a WhatsApp photo. A fake or refurbished module looks identical on day one. The differences appear at month three - and peak at month eighteen, when the seller is gone.</p></div>
<h2 style="font-size:28px;">What actually goes wrong</h2><table><tbody><tr style="vertical-align:top;"><td><div style="font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">Colour mismatch you cannot fix</div>
<div style="font-size:15px;">Genuine factories bin their LEDs so every lamp in a batch is matched for wavelength and brightness. Grey stock mixes bins and production runs. The result is a screen like a patchwork quilt of slightly different whites - and when you buy &quot;the same module&quot; next year, it visibly will not match. There is no software fix for mismatched bins.</div></td><td><div style="font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">Downgraded driver ICs</div>
<div style="font-size:15px;">A copy module advertised as &quot;3840 Hz&quot; often ships with lower-grade driver ICs that flicker on camera and drift in grayscale. Your client films their new screen for Instagram, sees rolling bands, and calls you.</div></td></tr><tr style="vertical-align:top;"><td><div style="font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">Early lamp death</div>
<div style="font-size:15px;">Refurbished lamps and B-grade batches fail at multiples of the genuine rate. On a 20 sq m screen at P2.5 there are roughly 3.2 million lamps - even a 0.1% excess failure rate is thousands of dead points across your client's wall in year one.</div></td><td><div style="font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">No spares that match</div>
<div style="font-size:15px;">LED screens are repaired module by module. Authorized stock means replacements from the same factory, matched to your batch, available next day. Grey stock means hunting a trader who has moved on to a different factory's lot - and nothing he sells you now will match your wall.</div></td></tr></tbody></table><h2 style="font-size:28px;">The commercial risks nobody mentions</h2><div style="font-size:16px;"><p><strong>Zero warranty.</strong> The factory has no record of the sale, so the warranty conversation ends at the trader's shop shutter. Genuine channels carry factory-backed warranty, honoured here in India.</p><p><strong>Tax exposure.</strong> Goods that entered on under-declared invoices are, plainly, goods on which duty was evaded. If the consignment or the seller comes under scrutiny, buyers holding improper invoices face blocked GST input credit and awkward questions. With a proper GST invoice - correct HSN, full value - your input credit is clean and your books are defensible.</p><p><strong>Project liability.</strong> If you are an integrator, the screen carries <em>your</em> name. A ₹2 lakh saving on modules is a poor trade for a ₹20 lakh site that becomes a three-year service liability.</p><p><strong>Resale and expansion value.</strong> Screens built on traceable, genuine components can be expanded, serviced and resold. Orphan screens cannot.</p></div>
<h2 style="font-size:28px;">The maths: what does &quot;15% cheaper&quot; really cost?</h2><p>Take a 15 sq m outdoor P4 screen - roughly 293 modules.</p><svg> Where the &quot;saving&quot; goes, over two years Upfront saving + Rs. 59,000 Replacing failures - Rs. 39,000 ~29 modules, no warranty Service visits - cost 2-3 emergency trips + downtime Net result Behind - plus a patchy screen and no spares that match </svg><table><tbody><tr><th style="font-weight:600;"></th><th style="font-weight:600;">Authorized (genuine)</th><th style="font-weight:600;">Grey market</th></tr><tr><td>Module cost (₹1,350 vs ₹1,150)</td><td>₹3.96 lakh</td><td>₹3.37 lakh</td></tr><tr><td>Upfront &quot;saving&quot;</td><td>-</td><td><strong>₹0.59 lakh</strong></td></tr><tr><td>Year 1-2 failures (2% vs ~10%)</td><td>~6 modules, free under warranty</td><td><strong>~29 modules = ₹0.39 lakh</strong>, and now mismatched</td></tr><tr><td>Service and downtime</td><td>Supported, spares ex-stock Mumbai</td><td>2-3 emergency trips, credibility cost</td></tr><tr><td>Colour after repairs</td><td>Batch-matched spares</td><td>Visible patches, screen devalued</td></tr><tr><td>GST input credit</td><td>Clean, full value</td><td>At risk if invoicing is improper</td></tr></tbody></table><p>The headline saving is gone by the second service call - before counting downtime, reputation or tax risk. We have never once seen the grey-market route end up cheaper over a three-year life. Not once.</p><h2 style="font-size:28px;">How to verify you are buying genuine</h2><table><tbody><tr style="vertical-align:top;"><td><div style="font-weight:700;font-size:13px;">01</div><div style="font-weight:700;">Ask for the authorization</div><div style="font-size:14px;">A genuine distributor can show current authorization from the factory. If the seller dodges this question, you have your answer.</div></td><td><div style="font-weight:700;font-size:13px;">02</div><div style="font-weight:700;">Check the paperwork</div><div style="font-size:14px;">Proper GST invoice, correct HSN codes, full declared value. &quot;Bill nahi milega, cash rate hai&quot; is not a discount - it is a warning.</div></td></tr><tr style="vertical-align:top;"><td><div style="font-weight:700;font-size:13px;">03</div><div style="font-weight:700;">Ask for batch and datasheet</div><div style="font-size:14px;">Genuine stock comes with factory datasheets, batch and bin information, and consistent cartons. Ask for the spec sheet of the exact lot, not a brochure.</div></td><td><div style="font-weight:700;font-size:13px;">04</div><div style="font-weight:700;">Verify serials with the factory</div><div style="font-size:14px;">Genuine modules and controllers trace back to the production line. Fakes cannot survive this question.</div></td></tr><tr style="vertical-align:top;"><td><div style="font-weight:700;font-size:13px;">05</div><div style="font-weight:700;">Ask about spares, in writing</div><div style="font-size:14px;">&quot;Will you supply batch-matched replacement modules for this lot for the next two years?&quot; A trader flipping containers cannot say yes and mean it.</div></td></tr></tbody></table><h2 style="font-size:28px;">What an authorized channel does on the back end</h2><p>The price on the module is the visible part. The invisible part is what keeps your screen earning.</p><div><div style="font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">Qiangli - genuine, and first in our line-up</div>
<p style="font-size:16px;">We are Qiangli's authorized distributor in India. That means the same modules the factory ships worldwide, with binned lamps so colour matches across the wall and across future spares, proper constant-current driver ICs that genuinely hold 3840 Hz (Mpro) or 7680 Hz (Pro) at full brightness - and both the IC and the refresh rate printed on your quote instead of left to be discovered later. <strong>Dahua FeuVision</strong> is our second line for fine-pitch indoor alternatives.</p></div>
<div><div style="font-weight:700;margin-bottom:6px;">Genuine power and control, not just genuine modules</div>
<p style="font-size:16px;">A counterfeit weak link inside a genuine screen still takes the screen down. We supply <strong>CZCL</strong> 5V SMPS - the 60A/300W with fan as the outdoor standard, the 40A/200W for smaller indoor builds - and <strong>Leadpower</strong>, including the CL-AS5B-300-5V fanless unit for boardrooms and studios where a row of fans would be heard, plus Meanwell where a project specifies it. Colorlight receiving cards and processors complete the chain.</p></div>
<div style="font-size:16px;"><p><strong>Receiving-card configuration files</strong> for every module we sell, so your controller setup works first time with the correct scan, gamma and calibration parameters.</p><p><strong>Batch-matched spares held in Mumbai</strong> - repair a panel next week or next year and it disappears into the wall, colour-perfect.</p><p><strong>Factory-backed warranty handled here</strong> - we deal with the factory, you deal with us.</p><p><strong>Engineer support</strong> on commissioning, cabling, power design and controller programming - including the unglamorous 9 pm call before your client's launch event.</p></div>
<div><div style="font-size:12px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:10px;">THE BOTTOM LINE</div>
<p>Grey-market modules are not a cheaper version of the same product. They are a different, worse product wearing the same jacket - subsidised by evaded tax, stripped of warranty, and priced to look attractive for exactly as long as it takes the container to clear. Your LED screen is a five to seven year asset. <strong>Buy it from a channel that will still be answering your calls in year five.</strong></p></div>
<div style="text-align:center;"><div style="font-size:21px;font-weight:700;margin-bottom:8px;">Talk to us before you buy - even if you do not buy from us.</div>
<p style="font-size:16px;">We will tell you exactly what questions to ask any seller, and how to check the answers. Genuine Qiangli and Dahua FeuVision modules, CZCL and Leadpower power, Colorlight control - ex-stock Mumbai with GST billing.</p><p style="font-weight:600;">WhatsApp +91 97655 58000</p></div></div></div>
